The 2012 Bulgari Serpenti brilliantly reinvents itself

Bulgari have impressed us with their creations for years now, some of them truly unique, like the Bulgari Serpenti, which has been continuously reinvented, year by year. The 2012 Serpenti is just another amazing example of what Bulgari can do, beautifully jewel-adorned, and made of exquisite materials.

To be more precise, it features a diaphanous 18-carat pink gold double wrap-around structure, encased in white scales or clothed in jet-black, festooned with brilliant-cut diamonds. The single-coil version of the accessory comes with pink gold-scales and is adorned with diamonds.

The double-wrap version revolves around the wrist twice, also decked with pink gold and diamonds, but this time featuring 385 of them. Although it sounds quite complicated and seems heavy or intrusive, in fact it’s extremely comfortable, ensuring a perfect, smooth touch.

The head of these “serpent”-like jewels is represented by the case, encased on both its sides with six 0.6-carat brilliant-cut diamonds, acting as a frame for the white mother of pearl dial or the black sapphire. The hour markers of the timepiece are set with 12 diamonds. The movement is represented by Calibre B031 Swizz quartz custom-made for Bulgari.
