Conveniently located at St. Felix, on the south shore of Mauritius, the splendid Shanti Maurice is just 40 minutes east of Plaisance Airport. The airport sends flights towards Africa, the Middle East and Europe.

Part of Nira Hotels & Resorts, Shanti Maurice has seen many awards and nominations since it was opened. It was built entirely with local materials and designed according to local traditions, providing local foods in completely exquisite local comfort. Marvelous!

Guests are able to practice kayaking here, on the waters of the Indian Ocean, or even play golf on the South African-designed Le Golf du Chateau. And the overall image is completed by the flawless Nira Spa where everyone can enjoy otherworldly experiences, like massage, meditation and yoga. Blokes, there’s something particularly designed for you – the Fish’n Rum shack will draw the pirate out of you with 60 different types of rum.

In terms of accommodation, Shanti Maurice comprises a total of 122 rooms, villas and suites, ranging from Junior Ocean View Suites to the fabulous Presidential Villa. The interiors have been superbly garnished with granite, marble, slate and hardwoods. As for the dining, there are plenty of options as well: you may enjoy the salads of Pebbles, exquisite cocktails at the Red Ginger, while barbecued fish and locally-distilled rum can be found at the Fish’n Rum Shack. Nightly rates start at €280 or around $370.
