With the release of the Toile Monogram collection, Saint Laurent is expanding the reach of its luxury goods market and doing so in style.
This is the first such collection developed by new creative director Hedi Slimane, after the rebranding of the fashion house as simply Saint Laurent. Even so, the line retains the iconic YSL logo designed by Cassandre for Yves Saint Laurent in 1961. The logo has been miniaturized and repeated across the face of an array of duffles, totes, briefcases, and garment bags, creating a pattern that resembles raised texture. The motif is also embossed in gold lettering on each item of the 30-piece collection.
The Toile Monogram collection is manufactured in Italy, in accordance with the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship. And for those who want to add a little personal touch to an exquisite piece, certain Saint Laurent stores actually allow customers to stamp their initials on the item they buy.
