Prominent billionaire and media tycoon Rupert Murdoch has recently divorced his wife for 14 years, Wendi Deng. As part of the settlements, she got the couple’s Fifth Avenue apartment, which apparently prompted Murdoch to seek a new place in New York. So the Australian-born billionaire just purchased the top four floors of One Madison, one the most exclusive and sought after properties in Manhattan.

The 7,000-square-foot triplex, which has never been occupied before this purchase, includes floor-to-ceiling windows and a wraparound terrace, providing uninterrupted, dramatic views of Manhattan, river to river. The only thing to worry about is getting from one place to another, but luckily the penthouse comes with its very own private elevator.

The building itself, which is three-quarters occupied, features luxurious amenities including butler service, a screening room and an indoor pool surrounded by marble walls – which is bound to attract more of the rich and famous.
