Although hailing from different worlds, New York City-based brands Proenza Schouler and Master & Dynamic have teamed up to create a high-end set of headphones intended for creative, alternative-minded people.
Proenza Schouler is a womenswear and accessories company founded by designers Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez, while Master & Dynamic is a headphones manufacturer that believes the design of their product should be as important as the sound quality. A match made in Heaven if there ever was one, the collaboration between the two brands yielded this excellent special edition called the MH40-PS, which is based on Master & Dynamic’s signature MH40 Over Ear headphones.
The piece has been re-worked and is available in three unique leather and black metal designs, each with a shiny goatskin headband lined with lambskin and perforated lambskin earpads.
Only 200 units of each kind have been produced, with one pair of MH40-PS headphones being priced at $495.
