Although the Shooting Brake version of the Aston Martin Rapide sports sedan will reportedly premiere at the 83rd edition of the Geneva International Auto Show, debuting on the 7th of March, a one off model specially designed by Bertone, dubbed the Jet 2+2, will be presented to a very lucky and presumably wealthy collector from the UK. This piece will also see be unveiled at the car show.
The gorgeous car boasts a similar body to the Porsche Panamera Sports Turismo of last year, sporting revamped C-pillar, upgraded front and rear ends, broader rear fenders and a stretched roofline. The interior boasts with a 2+2 seating layout, within an atmosphere custom designed with new materials and tones, from floor to roof.
Engine wise, the Aston Martin Jet 2+2 gets powered by the V12 engine mounted on the outgoing Rapide – it delivers 470 HP and 600 Nm (443 lb-ft) of torque. In the near future, the shooting brake will be gifted with the engine on the newer version of the Rapide, which is scheduled to premiere in Switzerland, later this year. This one will reportedly generate 550 HP and 620 Nm (457 lb-ft) of torque.
The last thing to say about Aston Martin and Bertone is that the brands are currently celebrating 60 years of close cooperation, the Jet 2+2 being built especially for this occasion.
