Nike has recently unveiled another special edition pair of footwear, part of its AF1 XXX Pearl Collection, as a celebration of the 30th year of Air Force 1. This latest pair of sneaker was dubbed as the Team USA Gold Medal edition and looks quite splashy – both figuratively and literally!
The 2012 Olympic Games in London and the medals that Team USA has obtained at this event asked for a special pair of footwear. They boast with a white leather base with metallic gold paintjob on the lateral side, plus a vintage gold patina on the medial region. There is also some additional gold finish on the lining and tongue.
The whole surface of the footwear is furthermore covered in gold speckles, including the leather wrapped midsole and laces. These weird but interesting shoes will reportedly be launched on a global scale on the 31st of August 2012, whereas their price tag is still foggy.
