McLaren is set to introduce the 625C (Club), its first model tailored to a specific region – in this case, the Asian market.

The car, which will be available in both a coupe and spider versions, is a bit less powerful than the 650S: it is equipped with a V8 3.8-liter twin-turbo engine which develops 625 hp (460 kW) at 7,250 rpm and 610 Nm (450 lb-ft) of torque between 3,000 and 7,000 rpm. This allows the 625C Coupe to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 3.1 seconds (0.1 seconds slower than the 650S), while the time it takes to go from a standstill to 124 mph is 8.8 seconds (0.4 seconds slower than the aforementioned model); the two versions can reach an identical top speed of 207 mph (333 km/h). The 625C Spider, on the other hand, goes from 0 to 62 mph in 3 seconds, from 0 to 124 mph in 9 seconds, and can achieve a maximum speed of 204 mph (329 km/h).

According to the manufacturer, updated mechanical balance and new dampers work together to create the most refined model it has yet released, which is due to a less stiff rear spring rate.

The McLaren 625C Coupe and Spider will initially be available in Hong Kong, with other countries in the Asia Pacific region to follow in the coming months.
