Moynat is one of France’s oldest trunk-makers. Founded over 150 years ago, about the time the French railway system was being established, it catered to people who wanted take advantage of this new means of transportation – and do it in style.
In order to celebrate the re-launch of the legendary orient Express, Moynat has released an amazing beauty case. Covered in exquisite vegetable-tanned calfskin, the pieces features the signature Orient Express blue, while the interior is lined in beige fabric. The case is made from sturdy, yet lightweight poplar, with the drawer hinges are apple wood.
Those who open this beautiful trunk are in for a surprise, as the piece is filled with a number of luxury products from the famous French perfume house Guerlain. And if that wasn’t enough, the drawers also contain a vintage Baccarat bottle of Shalimar perfume.
The price for such a case ranges from about $5,500 to as much as $55,000, depending on the client’s specifications.
