The Geneva Motor Show is well under way, so the British carmaker Morgan has used the occasion to unveil the new Aero 8 model.
Featuring the same vintage look that makes Morgan’s creations so appealing, the car also boast a series of mechanical improvements. The aluminum chassis now has better torsional stiffness, while there’s also a new suspension, anti-roll bars and a limited slip differential from BMW. The model also boasts ABS (with EBD), cruise control, power steering, and airbags, plus revised handling which has made the car feel more responsive.
The new Aero 8 is powered by the same V8 4.8-liter naturally aspirated BMW engine developing 367 bhp (273 kW), mated to either a six-speed manual or an automatic transmission equipped with paddle shifter.
The cabin also comes with a range of luxurious new elements, authentic wood accents, textured box-woven carpets, and a fine leather trim, as well as air an conditioning system, an optional touchscreen infotainment setup, and low-slung carbon seats.
Scheduled to enter production in the fourth quarter of this year, the new Morgan Aero 8 will be released as a limited edition (though the manufacturer hasn’t announced how many units will be made), with pricing starting at about $120,000.
