The latest Ferrari, the so-called LaFerrari, has debuted on the occasion of the 83rd Geneva Motor Show. It is a technological masterpiece, encompassing the latest in terms of engineering and car manufacture. It even makes use of hybrid technology, which, for a supercar, is pretty much new.
Putting all these aside, our hero today is a 1:18 scale sculpted replica of the Ferrari LaFerrari made with lost was microcasting and bronze, all laminated in palladium. Hand-manufactured by Editalia for Ferrari, the sculpted car was carefully designed and crafted, with most important care and the expertise of artisans. Great precision and care were given to the entire range of fabrication steps, from plaster molding to metal melting, from polishing to assembly and finishing. The car’s glasses and the top were also treated with a double passage of black rhodium and rose gold, both of these bestowing the sculpture with a stunning display of colors – great contrasts between the parts.
The crafters have also garnished the sculptures with Ferrari logos. Moreover, they come in exquisitely manufactured cases, with red metal stands painted and made according to Ferrari techniques and colors. Of course, as I’ve already mentioned in the title, the sculptures are limited edition – just 499 of them will be available for purchase, each of the units being individually numbered by hand-incisions on the door. Each of them can be purchased at $6,639.
