Modern supercars get more and more extreme, with innovative technologies and outrageous designs helping them reach new limits of automotive perfection with every year that goes by. But let’s face it, we haven’t seen something totally different for decades, and Libelule aims to do exactly that, planning to change the way we look at vehicles.

We’re talking about an incredible spherical vehicle, with two large wheels on its sides, that could be able to travel basically everywhere. This thing might be just a concept right now, but if it ever goes into production, Libelule might be the next best thing, especially when we’re thinking about all-terrain vehicles.

What’s even better about this vehicle is that you could even take it below water, allowing you to explore the depths easily: you’ll just need to select your desired depth on the waterproof touch screen, let water fill the cockpit and act as ballast, and you’re good to go after you put your scuba mask on.

The level of water inside the cockpit is constantly adjusted according to depth and play, while the wheels move the Libelule along with the help of a special tail section. Keeping an eye on the touchscreen would be a good idea, as it reveals useful information such as Libelule’s condition, speed, battery range, and the available oxygen, which is highly relevant to your survival.

The frame of the vehicle would be extremely light, yet capable to handle the pressure of deep waters, while the front windshield and panoramic windows on the sides would open up like the doors on a helicopter, obviously when you’re on land. We’re already thinking of numerous ways we would enjoy this concept and we’d love to see this dream turned into reality one day.
