Leica has teamed up with French-Italian clothing manufacturer Moncler to release the new X 113 camera. The beautiful piece comes in Moncler’s distinctive blue and red livery, but is also more than suitable for tough expeditions. The camera has proved its capabilities in rough conditions among the remote landscapes of Greenland, in the hands of Interview magazine editorial director Fabien Baron.
The Leica X 113 camera features a 3-inch TFT LCD display, an APS-C 16-megapixel sensor and a 23mm f/1.7 Summilix fixed lens. Thanks to its impressive shutter speed (from 30 to 1/2000 seconds), it’s certain to be especially popular with action photographers.
As we’ve mentioned above, a testament to the camera’s ruggedness is the fact that world-famous creative director Fabien Baron used it on a trip to Greenland, where he took a series of photographs capturing the place’s majestic beauty, while also highlighting the ethos of Moncler – a name deeply associated with a fearless and adventurous lifestyle. The images taken during this expedition were showcased at the Frieze Art Fair which took place last week in London.
The Leica X 113 camera is available at Moncler for the price of $2,950.
