De Majo IIluminazione is an Italian company with seven decades of experience with creating fine glasswork and lighting designs. Their latest release is not only an aesthetic masterpiece, but also a very rare creation, as the world’s first asymmetrical 24 karat gold-plated chandelier.

Called Le Quattro Stagioni (Italian for The Four Seasons), it is the work of designers Francesco Dei Rossi and Roberto Assenza, and features 370 handmade Murano glass elements of different colors, all of them covered with 24-carat fine gold leaf. The chandelier is three meters tall and is divided into four levels (one for each season) with six illuminated arms at each.

Instead of the familiar chandelier design with arms encircling a central axis, Le Quattro Stagioni comes with arms arranged asymmetrically, an intriguing choice which adds a degree of exuberance and natural verve to the piece.

Beautiful and unique, Le Quattro Stagioni is more than just a light fixture – it’s a veritable work of art! Indeed, it comes with the kind of price tag you’d expect from an artistic masterpiece: $176,000.
