Hennessey Releases World’s Fastest Edition Venom GT to Celebrate Record-Breaking Run

Back in February, the Hennessey Venom GT achieved a top speed of 270.4 mph and a record-breaking acceleration rate, going from 0 to 186 mph (300 km/h) in a blistering 13.63 seconds. To celebrate this achievement, the Texas-based tuning house is releasing a special supercar as a limited Hennessey Venom GT World’s Fastest Edition.

The vehicle owes its incredible speed and acceleration to a relatively low 2,743 lbs curb weight and an impressive twin-turbo 7.0-liter V-8 engine that can churn out 1,244 hp. The Hennessey Venom GT is painted white, with a red and blue stripe down the middle mimicking the flag they flew out the car’s window after setting the aforementioned world record.

With such a big name behind it, not to mention the prestigious occasion it was created for, you’d expect this stunning supercar to be a really sought-after item – and you’d be exactly right. Even though their price tag was set at $1.25 million, all three Hennessey World’s Fastest Edition Venom GTs have already been sold.
