Dodge’s Mopar Underground team will be unveiling the last of their creations, a modified Dodge Challenger SRT8 392, at the 2011 SEMA show. The car has undergone a long list of modifications and upgrades, from looks to performance and aerodynamics.
Mopar have seriously put their hands on the Challenger, adding a new front splitter, custom cat-back exhaust with custom new headers, front-and-rear strut tower braces, coil-over suspension, short-throw shifter and GoodYear F1 Supercar Tires. Both the interior and exterior of the car have been worked on, as well as the paint.
The car has now a black painted roof, a white-paint body, flame-red stripes from front to back, carbon fiber hood, tail lamp surrounds, slick rear spoiler and deck lid. The brake calipers and the mirrors are also painted in the same red tone, and of course the ACR logo on the fender cannot be missing.
The supersport tires are wrapped around unique five-spoke 20 inch alloy rims. Mopar thought about safety as well, mounting a fire extinguisher and a roll bar. For the sake of lower weight, the producers decided that the rear bench had to be removed and they also added carbon fiber door panels.
The interior also comprises a three-spoke flat-bottom steering-wheel, SRT gauge cluster, Mopar Drag Pack center stack, carbon fiber center console, custom bright pedal kit and a pair of bucket- sport seats with slots for an eventual racing harness. This superb typical American muscle-car is going to be presented soon. We can’t wait!
