The Geneva Motor Show is due to start in a few days and it will most probably be a global sensation. Hamann, renowned German car tuner, presented themselves during last year’s edition with their Hawk upgrade package for the Mercedes SLS AMG and this year they’re going to showcase the Hamann Hawk Roadster, almost the same version of the package but for the convertible SLS AMG.

Starting with the exterior, the car features a body kit pre-tested in a wind tunnel, which consists of enlarged air inlets, carbon fiber hood with air vents, new front bumper fascia with LEDs, fender flairs, side skirts, a rear bumper fascia with diffuser and carbon fiber wing plus quarter panels 60 and 70 mm wider on each side.

The 6.3-liter V8 has received an extreme-performance stainless steel exhaust system, while the intake side got endowed with a sports air filter. Along with a remapped ECU, the standard 563 HP (420 kW) have been increased to 628 HP (468 kW), enabling acceleration from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in around 3.6 seconds and reaching a top speed of 320 km/h (199 mph).

In terms of control and comfort, the vehicle received four progressively wound springs that lower its center of gravity by almost 30 mm and, in the same coilover kit, four height-adjustable dampers. Wrapped in 245/30 ZR 21 at the front and 345/25 ZR 21 tires, the Hamann brand’s in-house-produced rims have been added, 9Jx21 at the front, respectively 12.5Jx21 at the rear.

Seriously, we can’t wait for the show to start. Perhaps we’re going to showcase a lot more cars from this year’s Geneva Motor Show during the next days.
