Ford has unveiled the 2015 version of its Shelby GT350 Mustang model.

The car boasts the company’s most powerful naturally aspirated production engine, which can have the vehicle flying over the most challenging roads, as well as the track. The crankshaft V8, 5.2-liter motor is designed in such a way that all crank pinks are evenly spaced at 180° intervals, which allows the cylinder to alternate between banks when firing, thus reducing the overlap of exhaust press pulses. This results in an engine output exceeding 500 horsepower, while the torque peaks at more than 400 lb-ft.

The Shelby GT350 Mustang is two inches lower than the standard model and comes with a unique new bodywork from the windshield forward. The aluminum hood has been lowered and sloped, wrapping tightly around the engine in order to be as aerodynamic as possible. The fascia’s bottom front splitter, ducted belly pan, and aluminum front fenders also contribute to the overall aggressive look. Finally, the interior features Recaro sport seats and a distinct lack of any kind of bright finishes or chrome, preventing sun glare and thus keeping distractions at a minimum while the driver is tearing through the track.
