Vencer has unveiled the 2015 Sarthe production version, a vehicle the Dutch carmaker announced all the way back in 2012.
Named after the Circuit de Sarthe, the car comes with an eight-cylinder 6.3-liter supercharged engine which churns out 622 hp (457 kW) at 6.500 rpm and 618 lb-ft (838 Nm) of torque at 4,000 rpm. This allows the Vencer Sarthe to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in just 3.6 seconds and achieve a top speed of 210 mph (338 km/h).
The vehicle features an updated exterior design with a redesigned quarter glass, new engine cover, restyled C-pillars with an “open air-flow” design, as well as an automatic rear spoiler and aerodynamic front splitters. The minimalist cabin is perfectly suited to this performance-oriented sports car, boasting wide door sills, carbon fiber panels, and a combination of leather and Alcantara, in addition to a multi-tasking digital display which gives the driver access to all relevant information.
The Dutch auto manufacturer only intends to produce about one of these cars per month, each priced at a hefty €270,882, or about $348,000 (excluding taxes).
