Famed fashion designer Donna Karan is selling part of her extensive retreat on Parrot Cay in the Turks and Caicos Islands.
The beachfront estate now covers more than 10 acres and was acquired by Karan back in 2002. Most of the property – around 7 acres – is up for sale, including a couple of Afro-Balinese inspired villas, each totaling 3,850 square-feet of living space with four bedrooms and four bathrooms. The Sanctuary, as it is called, also has a beachfront yoga pavilion, a dining pavilion with enough space for a party of 20, and a sizeable beach-side swimming pool. Also part of the deal is the collection of decorative carvings gathered by the owner during her worldwide travels.
As for the part of the property Karan intends to keep, it includes a house, a spa, and two swimming pools. While the fashion designer does indeed visit the island quite regularly, according to a spokesperson she does not need more than the area she is keeping.
The price Donna Karan has set for a large part of her Parrot Cay retreat is $39 million.
