Italian fashion house Dolce & Gabbana has just released Dolce, their latest fragrance. It is a delicate and feminine mix of white flowers, its fragrance initially introduced by the light freshness of Neroli leaves, and overall defined by the White Amaryllis. The White Amaryllis used in the fragrance is a unique species that grows only in the Fynbos region of South Africa, and the Dolce is the first scent ever to use this flower.
The rich, robust notes of the White Amaryllis in Dolce were created using “Headspace Technology”, which allows for the capture of the exact scent of the flower in full bloom without having to cut it and grind the petals to extract the oil. In addition to the rare flower that is at its heart, the fragrance also contains White Daffodil, White Water Lily, Cashmeran, Musk and Sandalwood, all expertly combined with truly exquisite results.
According to Domenico Dolce, encapsulated in this fragrance is the very essence of Sicily, which he describes as “the nobility of the soul, the elegance of every day gestures, the joy of sharing from generation to generation, and the effortless perfection of a single white flower”. To this, Stefano Gabbana added that the Dolce is not just original in the way it was created, “but also because it is the translation into fragrance of a young new love that will, by virtue of its innocence, retain its youthful vitality”.
