De Bethune has always designed watches with celestial aesthetics in mind, which is why it’s always a pleasure to get a glimpse of their latest creations. Their latest pair of DB28 watches, the De Bethune DB28 Kind of Blue and DB28T Kind of Blue benefit from an alluring blue theme, which more than fitting for that space-inspired build.
The beautiful and serene vibe of these watches was possible thanks to a special heating and oxidation process, which finished off that wonderful De Bethune look, that everyone seems to adore.
In terms of specs, the DB28 Kind of Blue was constructed out of a familiar grade 5 titanium case, 43 mm wide and 9.3 mm thick, which delivers 30 m of water resistance. The caliber DB2115, featuring De Bethune’s pare-chute shock absorption system, is complemented by a 28,800 vph frequency and a 6-days power reserve.
On the other hand, the De Bethune DB28T Kind of Blue watch comes with the same case as the DB28, although the company’s 0.2-gram tourbillon – the lightest in the world – is part of the offering heere. The visible DB2019 movement operates at 36,000 vph for 5 days, with the aid of a self-regulating twin barrel.
Please note that both watches come on a striking blue alligator strap, and the difference between them is mostly made by the price-tag. The De Bethune DB28 Kind Of Blue watch will only adorn 10 wrists this year, with each unit costing $150,000.
And only 5 De Bethune DB28T Tourbillon Kind Of Blue watches will be up for the grabs, with a price-tag of $250,000 each. Which one would you rather have?
