In order to mark its 60th anniversary, a milestone it will in 2015, Porsche Club of America, the largest single-brand club in the world with over 100,000 members, has decided to release a special version of Chopard’s Mille Miglia timepiece. Just a tiny fraction of those members could potentially own one of these watches, since the release is limited to just 66 pieces.
It’s no surprise Chopard is the watchmaker responsible for this limited edition: the Swiss brand announced its sponsorship deal with Porsche Motorsport earlier this year and it is already the main partner of Mille Miglia (and has been so for 25 years now) and the Grand Prix Historique de Monaco.
All watches which make up this limited release come in a 42 mm stainless steel case, save for 6 of them which are available in 18-carat rose gold. The stainless steel pieces are priced at $5,990, while the more exclusive rose gold models come with a price tag of $21,000.
