Chaa Creek has been keeping nature lovers and adventurers company for over 30 years, offering them a safe and comfortable retreat as they witness nature’s exquisite beauty, right from the heart of Belize. Nestled in San Ignacio, this vibrant lodge will definitely convince any newcomers to return here as soon as possible, or maybe they won’t like to leave this place at all!
Back in 1977, two travelers took hold of a 140-acre farm on Belize’s Macal River and started work on what would someday become this stunning eco-friendly luxury lodge, which also supports local environmental and social programs, by donating 10% of all its income to these good causes.
The lush jungle surrounding this place is probably the ideal companion for the 23 palm thatched cottages, where guests will be able to rest and recharge their batteries, so to speak. Each of these lovely cottages feature a private Jacuzzi, and many other modern luxuries, including high speed WiFi, right in the middle of the jungle!
To be honest, I really don’t know why would anyone need that, when you’re surrounded by such an incredible beauty and mesmerizing views wherever you look. Interestingly enough, the Chaa Creek Lodge sits on one of the world’s great nature reserves;, with more than 300 species of tropical and migratory birds living their lives and fascinating everyone here.
Sure, birdwatching sounds like fun, but there’s at least once activity for every single one of us here, such as tours of the Mayan temples, a visit to nearby caves and strolls along the jungle trails. Have you booked a room here yet?
