Caterham Seven Sprint

It’s been 60 years since the iconic Caterham Seven has been first introduced to the world, and such an impressive anniversary is totally worth celebrating. As such, we are now standing in front of the Caterham Seven Sprint, a limited-run model of the charming sports car that was revealed at last weekend’s Goodwood Revival.

This special version of the new Caterham Seven has been actually inspired by a vehicle that was meant to hit the market back in the 1960’s, but it never saw the light of day. This is why Caterham offers this beauty in the same distinctive colors that the 1966 car was meant to show off, along with the distinctive flared arches and a polished exhaust silencer.

The overall retro vibe of the Seven Sprint is also complemented by cream colored wheels, polished chrome elements and individual rear taillights – as you’d expect.

The cabin keeps in line with the vintage theme of this beauty, showing off a wooden, three-spoke steering wheel, a classic looking instrument cluster, plus scarlet red upholstery and a red dashboard. Under the bonnet, the limited-series Seven Sprint packs a small, but impressive 660 cc three-cylinder engine – thank you Suzuki – which delivers 80 hp.

Since we are always appreciating the retro vibe, this car really seems to keep in line with what they had in mind back in the 1960s. But the spots car’s modern lightweight construction and minimalist design allows it to do 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 6.9 seconds, which is a lot better than what it could have done back in the 1960s.

With only 60 units set for delivery, the 27,995 pounds ($37,000) price-tag will get most of you interested.
