To be honest, this is one of the few cars I have traced and waited for in full anxiety – the Aston Martin Vanquish Volante is here with us. The spy shots we’ve been coming across lately have indeed known fruit.

The Vanquish Volante is powered by the 6.0-liter power plant similarly mounted on the coupé, delivering a whopping 573 HP (421 kW) at 6,750 RPM and 620 Nm (457 lb-ft) of torque at 5,500 RPM. This translates into a top speed of 294 km/h (183 mph) and acceleration from naught to 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 4.1 seconds.

Mind you, Aston Martin states that this is their first ever car to be fitted with a carbon fiber body, allowing it to tip the scales at just around 1,844 kg (4,065 lbs) – just 9 kg (19.8 lbs) heavier that the coupé. The roof itself is quite a technological achievement as well – a triple-skin extremely lightweight fabric curtain that takes just 14 seconds to fold.

Putting aside the roof, the design of the Volante is particularly linked to its coupé counterpart. The interior layout is significantly similar as well. And speaking of transmission, the Touchtronic 2 6-speed automatic gearbox providing the rear wheels with power is also taken from the regular version of Vanquish.

And now comes the final part of our story – prices. The Aston Martin Vanquish Volante comes with a price tag of £199,995 in the UK. In Germany it’ll reportedly cost €264,995. In the Unites States, the Vanquish Volante will be available at $297,885. Interestingly enough, it is available in Dubai as well, purchasable for $323,974. In terms of deliveries, the car will reportedly be handed to its future owners before the end of the year in Continental Europe and Great Britain.
