BMW has just unveiled the upgraded version of the R1200R roadster.

The motorbike is equipped with a liquid-cooled version of the boxer engine which outputs 125 horsepower at 7,750 rpm, with a maximum torque of 124 Nm (92 lb-ft) at 6,500 rpm. While the engine itself doesn’t offer much more in terms of innovation, the bike is fitted with loads of electronic features, including ABS, Automatic Stability Control (ASC), and two riding modes (RAIN and ROAD). There’s also a third, optional riding mode called Pro, which comes with Dynamic Traction Control, banking detection, and a two extra mappings (Dynamic and User).

The 2015 R1200R comes with an inverted adjustable fork and an EVO paralever for the rear suspension. Another option customers can select is a Dynamic ESA (Electronic Suspension Adjustment) package with two selectable modes: Road and Dynamic. Finally, an analog speedo and a TFT screen provide all the data the rider needs in order to be perfectly in control of the vehicle.

BMW is releasing three versions of the 2015 R1200R: Cordoba blue non-metallic, Light white non-metallic with frame in Racing red, and Thunder grey metallic with frame in Agate grey metallic matte. Pricing details are expected to be announced soon.
