The bicycle company NeilPryde Bikes has recently presented the brand new Bayamo, along with the Bayamo+. These projects were realized in tight collaboration with BMW Group Designworks USA’s team from Asia. They have used „high-modulus, unidirectional C6.7 carbon fiber” to create such a light and sturdy frame.
In addition, they’ve also done some improvements to the bike’s aerodynamicity and this fact will dearly help time-trial sportsmen. For this, NeilPryde Bikes have had to do a computational fluid dynamics analysis and to implement a few of the parts down within the frame, like the shifting cables and the entire drivetrain.
As for the Bayamo+, it features a proprietary QFit stem design, adjustable for ride angle and height. The price for the Bayamo is $2,750 per unit, while the Bayamo+, after its official coming to the market in 2013, will roughly cost $5,000.
