Swiss luxury watchmaker Baume & Mercier has showcased its latest ladies watch collection, the first they’ve released in nearly a decade. Called Promesse (French for promise), it is based on the unique watch designs the company created for ladies back in the 1970s.
All the watches come with an oval bezel that surrounds a round dial, the most distinctive feature reminiscent of the 1970s models. The 14 timepieces are available in two sizes, 30mm or 34 mm, featuring a Swiss-made quartz or automatic movement that can be viewed through a transparent caseback. For the watch straps, there’s a choice between stainless steel, a combination of stainless steel and red gold, white satin, or black alligator.
Baume & Mercier’s Promesse ladies watch collection was introduced during an event in New York by actress Jessica Paré, whom you might recognize from Mad Men. The watches will be available in September for prices starting at $1,900.
