Each day we do our work, take the dog out and find something and some place to relax, and then the night comes. It’s a time of dreams, where azure waters meet pristine beaches and we hold cocktails in our hands while sitting on the sunlounger admiring girls playing beach volley. Step out of your dreams now, ’cause we’ve found the place of our dreams – Baan Taling Ngam, in Thailand.

There are many resorts in Koh Samui, but sadly they’re designed in all sorts of occidental manners and styles. This one is very special though, as it was clearly developed and made after classic Thai principles, based on a deep Thai theme. Baan Taling Ngam is found on the south-west Virgin Coast of the island, an area filled with fishing villages and tranquility.

The resort is set upon a lush tropical estate and sports its own, private jetty. Upon arrival, you step off the speedboat, walk the jetty and enter the lobby, where the panoramas will have you absolutely astonished. This is where the famous Five Island meets your eyes, eager to become you host for the next few weeks.

There are seven swimming pools as well, each with its own staggering design, in addition to a yoga deck, water sports centre and two tennis courts. Baan Taling Ngam also comprises two exquisite restaurants are puts at your disposal in-villa dining of even a one off candlelit meal on the resort’s private pier stretching diagonally into the ocean.

In terms of accommodation, there are 79 guest residences, each of them boasting with private balcony and expansive bathroom with waterfall shower and soaking tub. These residences are gorgeously garnished in contemporary Thai themes, with pops of color to express the rich Thai heritage.

Also worth visiting is the award-winning cliff-top Baan Thai Spa, raised 120 meters up above the ocean – the spa provides 46 different traditional and contemporary treatments based on indigenous herbs and all sorts of traditional philosophies. Can you even imagine a better place to go?
