What do we get when two leaders in yacht building unite their forces? The answer is simple – a masterpiece, in the form of the Big Fish. The 45 meter long superyacht belongs to a brand new generation of its own.

Built in 2010, the result of a fruitful collaboration between McMullen & Wing and Aquos Yachts, it represents the apogee of luxury and efficiency. Perfectly equipped to circle the globe and reach places few have reached before, like the Galapagos, the Antarctica and the Amazon, it can be what many call “the ultimate in travelling”. Could the French Riviera, the Caribbean and the Mediterranean simply mean stopovers?

For ladies, the builders and designers have thought of an ingenious way to allow them to wear high heels aboard, thanks to the epoxy-infused granite they used for the exterior decking. This bears an important mark of greenness, being way friendlier to the environment than other commonly used materials. A total of 10 guests can be hosted on board, along the superyacht’s journeys, along with 10 crew members who will fully provide exquisite services.

The yacht also serves as a holder for a 7.8 meter Triple Ripple tender, encased in a world of sea machinery like two windsurfs, two kayaks, scuba diving gear, a pair of Liquid Force wakeboards and two RS Feva sailboats.

What’s extremely important to say is that during its short lifetime, the Big Fish has been awarded a number of prizes and classifications, like the Most Innovative Yacht Under 50 Meters at the World Yachts Trophy in 2010, the Best Motor Yacht Under 500 GRT at London’s Superyacht Awards and the Most Innovative Yacht Design of the Year at the Boating Asia Awards in 2011, and the Best Naval Architecture at Showboats Design Awards.

The Big Fish superyacht can be purchased for a stunning $29 million or can be chartered for $245,000 per week in the Caribbean during winter or within the South Pacific during the summer of 2012.
