Aston Martin to Make Further Steps towards the Revival of the Lagonda Brand

Aston Martin is a very prestigious British brand, one of the leading names among luxury car manufacturers. Few people notice, however, that the company name also contains the word Lagonda – which was added after the acquisition of the eponymous automaker in 1947. After decades of relative obscurity, Aston Martin announced the revival of the brand in 2008 and one of the more remarkable developments in this regard is the recent announcement of a luxurious new Lagonda super saloon.

The car is set to be released as part of an ultra-exclusive limited series and will be aimed especially at select customers based in the Middle East. It will be produced at the same facility in Gaydon where the One-77 supercar was manufactured.

Not much else is known regarding the technical specifications or pricing range. It’s not even clear is the new car will signal the return of the Lagonda as a nameplate, or as a separate brand. In any case, we’ll be keeping you posted when something new comes up.
