Ariel Atom V8

After over two years of development Ariel released today the Ariel Atom V8, the world’s most powerful, most expensive, exclusive and definitely the most incredible hypertracker. This car was designed to offer top four wheel thrills but only a lucky few will get to feel how it’s like.

The Ariel Atom V8 is powered by a 3.0L V8 engine but this is not a normal engine from regular cars, it’s an engine which was created by bolting together two powerful engines from Suzuki bikes. The Atom will even come with two different versions: a road going model and a track oriented version.

The model for everyday use will have 475 HP to play with while the V8 from the track oriented car will deliver an amazing power output of 500 HP! The track version also comes with aggressive mapping which compromises anything else for extreme performance.

You might think that 500 HP isn’t as much as the power output of other supercars but the Atom V8 is an ultra light car and with all this power it has a breathtaking power to weight ratio of 900 HP/ton!!! The Bugatti Veyron has a little over 500 HP/ton and yes, the Atom V8 can accelerate faster than the Veyron. It can’t match the Veyron’s top speed, but still, the thrill factor is definitely at a completely different level when you’re in this tiny hypertracker.

The Ariel Atom V8 can accelerate 0 to 62 mph in just 2.3 seconds and it will reach a top speed of 170 mph for the everyday use version and even an amazing 200 mph for the track oriented car.

This amazing little car will be produced in a limited run of just 25 units with each unit being priced at EUR 182,500 or $231,700.
