A world-renowned manufacturer of exquisite games and luxury items since 1958, Geoffrey Parker has recently presented one of the most expensive chess sets in the world, the Silver Jubilee Edition Chess set. The traditional British manufacturer of luxury games names it the perfect gift for the most discerning of chess players and has had it approved by the United States Chess Federation.
In fact, this is a re-introduction of the 1960’s classic Geoffrey Parker board which was originally created as a tribute to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth’s Silver Jubilee. The design, signed Geoffrey Parker, wasn’t built for competition purposes, but to impressively compliment the brand’s bond to the legendary Staunton design.
The $77,880 set is now available in Sterling Silver, solid gold or sterling silver-gilt. In addition, it is also provided in Dauphin calf colors, and it may even be personalized upon request, courtesy of Geoffrey Parker.
