As requested by the helicopter-staff-training Heli-Yacht company, the renowned Italian vessel designer Gian Paolo Nari, penned down an incredibly versatile piece of sailing. Partially influenced by the NP55 superyacht, a contemporary-design cruiser, the NPe75 is a superb expedition vessel.
The main purpose of this sole superyacht is to efficiently combine yacht design with aviation features, in order to safely embark a helicopter onboard and take it and its crew all around the world. The project emanates a feeling of both coziness and efficiency, also considering its primary idea.
The vessel can ensure accommodation for up to 12 guests, assisted by a huge crew of 22 persons. Guests can reside inside the five guest cabins, one convertible cabin and the master stateroom. Furthermore, the cruiser boasts lounging spaces, training areas and a large swimming pool as far as we can see throughout the pictures.
The propulsion system consists of 2 Caterpillar 3516-DIs, both of them being able to deliver 2,000kW at 1,600 RPM, for a top speed of 20 knots, while the cruise speed is set at 17 knots. The steel hull and aluminum superstructure ensure lightness and endurance. The yacht’s beam measures 14.2 meters, while the draught a modest 3.3 meters.
Still a project, this two-sided vessel could work as a military recreation unit or just as a luxurious training location.
