American bicycle manufacturer Specialized has once again teamed up with McLaren Applied Technologies to create a very impressive, high-performance road bike. The result of the collaboration is the S-Works McLaren Tarmac.
When a company partners with McLaren in order to create something which runs of wheels, you know they’re going to employ the best designs and use high-end materials to create something really special. In this case, the frame of the bike is made using a carbon layup process developed by the British automaker, ensuring the bicycle is not only lightweight, but also very durable. The S-Works McLaren Tarmac is also quite easy on the eye, with a two-tone color scheme featuring black paint, as well as the carmaker’s signature orange.
To make the whole thing even more appealing, the bike will be released as a 250 item limited edition, which makes it just about as exclusive as a four-wheeled McLaren. And then there’s the price, which is set at a hefty $20,000. So if you want ride a hi-tech bicycle made in part by a legendary car manufacturer which costs more than your average motorcycle, the S-Works McLaren Tarmac is just the thing for you.
