Inspired by the classic 1935 Type 57sc Atlantic Coupe, designer Alan Guerzoni came up with this amazing concept car design for Bugatti.
The ‘2014 Bugatti 12.4 Atlantique’ borrows elements from the elegant automobiles of the 30s, like suicide doors, elongated bonnets and a distinct fender that protrudes from the body. Its classic heritage is unquestionable, yet Guerzoni certainly brings this Bugatti model into the 21st century with an aggressive, futuristic look and quite a bold color choice.
Powered by a bi-turbo V12 engine, the Atlantique Bugatti also features rear wheel drive with an electric motor, which can be used to either provide a boost, or for traction. It’s a truly exquisite piece of auto engineering and design, Guerzoni himself describing it as being “perfect to race on a circuit, but also to go slowly to Monte Carlo Marina for a cocktail”.
