It’s been quite a while since Ulysse Nardin had started manufacturing timepieces fit for water-loving geeks, for sailors, divers and alike. It is now time for the brand to venture into darker waters, with the brand new 2013 Black Sea wristwatches.

The watches of this fabulous collection boast every bit of technology and good looks ever imagined by Ulysse Nardin. They’re sporty and luxurious at the same time, exquisite and ultimately well made, veritable arguments of how far UN is able to go. They boast stainless steel bases, athletic structures, vulcanized rubber and fit everyone’s hand with ease, in complete comfort.

The process of vulcanization is extremely important in this case, providing an extra bit of flexibility and comfort to the watches, at the same time bestowing them with ultimate levels of resistance.

Each piece of this stunning collection also comes with a mask that, rotated in one direction, enhances the water resistance of the timepiece to as much as 200 meters, alongside the rubberized screwed crown. There’s also the rubber belt which is worth mentioning, with two ceramic parts and a flexible segment for better grip. The power reserve indicator is found at 12 o’clock, while the big date and seconds subdials are found at 6 o’clock. Inside the 2013 Ulysse Nardin Black Sea we’ll be finding the Calibre UN-26 movement with 28 jewels and power reserve of as much as 48 hours. Everything you’ve been reading up till now are proofs of the brand’s excellence though. These facts aren’t valid just for this collection, they are symbolically featured by every piece boasting the emblem of Ulysse Nardin.
