Preceding its debut at the 2012 Beijing Motor Show, the new Mercedes G63 AMG has been presented a couple of days ago by the German automaker. The Mercedes Benz G63 AMG is a kick-ass SUV packed with a potent 5.5-liter twin-turbo engine able to develop a whopping 544 HP and 560 lb-ft of torque. The current power has been increased by 20 HP since the latest version from AMG.

They’ve also decked this version with fuel-saving technology and a more comfortable ride. To be more precise, they’ve added a brand new alternator that only works when needed. This allows for an average fuel consumption of 17 mpg, which is quite low for its caliber.

In terms of looks, they generally remained similar, with only a new front bumper with a large pair of cooling ducts along with dual exhaust pipes, new five-spoke wheels and double-slatted front grille being added by Mercedes’ high performance division. We’re curious, though, why is it named G63 if it actually boasts the 5.5-liter motor?

Upon hitting the markets, its expected price will be of around $180,000. If you think it isn’t worth the money, then simply check the following images they’ve recently published and make out a proper opinion. What a nice ride!
