Launched back in 2008, the Grande Seconde watch showed off a powerful and distinguished build that has quickly transformed it into one of the most appreciated products from Jaquet Droz. But this year the renowned Swiss watchmaker has unveiled the first feminine version of this exquisite watch, dubbed as the Jaquet Droz Grande Seconde SW Lady.
Sporty and feminine, the new ladies version of the Grande Seconde SW shows off a lovely 41 mm stainless steel case, set with 40 diamonds which seem to interact with light and sparkle. But the bespoke ring and plates on this watch, finished in white gold, as well as the mother-of-pearl disc, seem to overshadow everything else.
The precious case of this timepiece has been turn-brushed and polished, adding to the overall charm of the watch, and the blued steel hands, partially coated with Super-LumiNova, to make sure darkness won’t keep you from checking out the time, are definitely also worth a mention.
Another interesting feature of this watch is the silicon balance spring within the movement, which is apparently unaffected by magnetic fields or changes in temperature and pressure. The Grande Seconde SW Lady is also complemented in style and beauty by an alligator leather strap, that’s directly incorporated into the case and boasts with luxurious femininity with an elegant powdered violet finish.
