The newly announced Mulsanne Speed is a sportier version of Bentley’s acclaimed performance luxury car.

Powered by an upgraded 6.75-liter V8 engine which outputs 537 PS (395 kW) and 1,100 Nm (811 lb-ft) of torque, the vehicle can accelerate from0 to 62 mph in 4.9 seconds and achieve a top speed of 190 mph (305 km/h). The powerplant is mated to a revised 8-speed automatic gearbox with S mode, which ensures a quicker engine response. A notable feature is from a cylinder deactivation system that allows it to run as a V4, something which reduces CO2 emissions reduced from 393 g/km to 342 g/km.

The Mulsanne Speed will be available in four colors: Spectre, Candy Red, Camel and Marlin, and features a dark tint finish applied to the radiator grille, lower bumper grilles, and wing vents. It sits on a set of new 21-inch wheels, available in painted, polished and dark tint with machined accent finishes. The inside of the car also boasts new trims, colors and veneers, as well as diamond quilting for the seats and door panels, special drilled pedals, and a new indented headlining.

Bentley will showcase the new model for the first time at the Paris Motor Show on October 2 , with deliveries commencing this winter. Pricing for the Mulsanne Speed will start at about €315,000 (£252,200).
