Zeitwinkel is an independent Swiss watchmaker established in 2006, which aims to create unique, elegant, and timeless pieces. Their most recent release, called the 273° Saphir Fumé, is a bit different compared to their other creations, which tend to display a more classic, unflashy look.
Like all Zeitwinkel timepieces, the 273° Saphir Fumé features a large sapphire back showcasing that proprietary movement the manufacture is so proud of. But what makes this particular watch so special is the fact that it also gives us a glimpse of the front of the movement through the tinted transparent dial made from very sturdy sapphire crystal. Especially nice is the view of the patented large date mechanism at the 11 o’clock position, as well as the beautiful interplay of light and shadows in the decoration when the watch is moved.
The Zeitwinkel 273° Saphir Fumé will be available initially in Japan, with the release in the US, Europe, and other regions to follow shortly. No word on the pricing just yet, but the standard Zeitwinkel 273° will set you back just under $10,000, so you can expect the special version to be a bit more expensive.
