The stunning boat you see here, simply named the Z-Boat, is the brainchild of Dame Zaha Mohammad Hadid, an architect well known for the prizes she has won for the company’s eye-catching and interesting projects. Mainly relying on futuristic looks and techniques, she is the proud designer of buildings like London Aquatics Center and the Rosenthal Contemporary Arts, while her innovative ideas can also be seen reflected in curiously-shaped objects like the “liquid glacial table”, the “space-age metallic bar” and the “tea & coffee tower”.
The client of the first Z-Boat is the fabled art dealer Kenny Schachter, based in London, particularly for his Rove Projects. This stunning speedboat measures 8 meters in length and was crafted from carbon fiber and fiberglass. Designed for high performance, looks and comfort, it sports an interior endowed with new vinyl materials.
The boat will be available in a whole range of colors of which we notice white, gray, blue and the black tone you can admire in the images. Take note – the black version was exclusively designed for Schachter. As we’ve found out, the idea behind the Z-Boat project is to create an extremely individualistic architectural point of view, using brand new techniques and manufactures and keeping the sublime style all together. We have to agree that the boat’s shape makes it quite attractive and also gives it a sporty feel, even with we didn’t yet get the chance to go onboard.
The boat’s construction was assigned to Shoreteam, a French firm that Rove Schachter has recruited. They will reportedly build 12 units, until the official release during the next year. Each one will bear a consistent price tag, of $457,000.
