Vertu has recently announced its latest smartphone, dubbed the Vertu Aster.
The British luxury brand’s latest creation runs on Android 4.4 KitKat and offers a great selection of features: a 4.7-inch “virtually scratch-proof” sapphire crystal display with 1080 x 1920 pixels, LTE, NFC, stereo speakers with Dolby Digital Plus surround sound, quad-core 2.3 GHz Snapdragon 801 processor, 2 GB of RAM, 64 GB of internal memory, and a 2275 mAh battery. There’s also a 2.1 MP camera on the front, as well as a 13 MP rear camera with dual LED flash on the back (certified by the prestigious Swedish camera manufacturer Hasselblad). The phone is handcrafted in England using only the finest materials, such as high-end types of leather (calf, karung, and ostrich) and grade 5 titanium alloy.
Like with everything released by Vertu, the main focus is on the more luxurious features, rather than on the technical specs. Some of the exclusive services Aster buyers receive access to are Vertu Classic Concierge, Vertu Life, and Vertu Certainty.
Currently only available in the UK, pricing for the Vertu Aster starts at £4,200, which is the equivalent of about $6,785, or €5,350.
