Upgraded 2013 McLaren MP4-12C Revealed

McLaren have finally started to release detailed information regarding the upgrades from the upcoming  2013 McLaren MP4-12C supercar.

To put you up to date with the process, we found out that the output of the M838T engine will be increased to 625 PS, there will be made a revised calibration to the 7-Speed SSG transmission to increase its responsiveness and to diminish gear-shifting durations, a programmable Intake Sound Generator will be installed, through which the driver can adjust the level of engine noise into the cabin, New Meridian audio equalizer settings and Easy-Exit electric seat function incorporating Seat Return, if the driver wants these, plus headlights linked to a rain sensor, in automatic mode.

They’ve also released a list of complementary upgrades, as optionals, to further customize the looks of the car. This includes new 5-spoke lightweight alloy forged wheels, in an array of finishes, better quality textured leather, three levels of interior trim – Full Semi-Aniline Leather, Semi-Aniline Leather with Color Perforated Inserts and Full Semi-Aniline Leather -, Volcano Yellow paintjob, Vehicle Lift – 40 mm at the front and 25 mm at the rear, redesigned “Speed Marque” McLaren badge and One Touch Seat Return.
