Piaget is a brand known for releasing highly accomplished creations, and once again the Swiss watchmaker does not disappoint. The new Emperador Coussin Skeleton 1270S is an ultra-exclusive timepiece which also has the distinction of being world’s thinnest ultra-thin tourbillon automatic skeleton watch, with a case measuring an amazing 8.85 mm thick.

The ultra-thin (5.05 mm) automatic tourbillon Caliber 1270S is housed in an 18-carat white or pink gold case which is itself (a normal) 46.5 mm in diameter. The movement is distinctive in that its dial-side micro rotor and tourbillion are placed at 1 o’clock, and boasts multiple high-end finishing elements, of which we’re only going to name a few: satin-brushed, hand-bevelled and polished mainplate and bridges; satin-brushed, bevelled and polished guilloché gold-toned oscillating weight; gold screws; hand-bevelled and hand-drawn tourbillon carriage bridges. Finally, the watch is fitted with a brown or black alligator strap secured by a gold folding clasp.
