Frederique Constant, a Swiss brand founded in Geneva in 1988, is set to introduce a stunning new timepiece to its Worldtimer Manufacture series.
This watch stands out in particular thanks to its beautiful navy blue dial with anthracite grey world map. It is powered by the FC-718 Manufacture automatic caliber, which has been fully developed in-house – a sign of the manufacture’s maturity. What makes the caliber so special is the fact that all functions are easily accessible through the crown, with no extra push buttons sticking out on the sides of the case. The wearer simply selects the city they desire and places it at the 12 o’clock position on the dial. Then, after the internal discs are synchronized, the time in that particular spot is accurately indicated. Moreover, the mechanism also shows if it’s day or night, using the white or blue disc, respectively, and there’s also a date aperture at 6 o’clock.
The elegant new Worldtimer Manufacture “Blue” timepiece by Frederique Constant comes with a price tag of about $4,500, which is remarkably low for something of this quality.
