BMW Motorrad has just revealed the new BMW S 1000 R and its equally stunning RR and XR siblings at the 2016 International Motorcycle, Scooter and E-Bike Fair in Cologne, each of these motorcycles coming with various revisions and upgrades to the table.
For instance, the 2017 BMW S 1000 R now packs a 164 PS engine, it’s lighter by 2 kg than before, and features a new frame structure keeping everything together. The new S 1000 R also benefits from a HP titanium rear silencer, for some extra grunt, as well as from a smaller fairing than before.
On the other hand, the 2017 S 1000 RR shows off a Granite Grey Metallic/Blackstorm Metallic extgerior and has received DTC as standard, with ABS Pro available as an option. This bike will also come as a single-seat model with a passenger seat cover and according to BMW, the passenger package will be offered free of charge as an alternative.
Last, but not least impressive, the 2017 BMW S 1000 XR has 164 PS to play with, featuring vibration-free handlebars for enhanced rider comfort and a new color choice named Ocean Blue metallic matte. There is probably more to be said about technical specifications and purchase costs, but we’re just going to let the gallery below do all the talking for us. Enjoy!
