Linde Werdelin Oktopus MoonLite White

The people at Linde Werdelin have a very wild imagination, something that becomes perfectly clear once you get a good look at their awesome Oktopus Moon watch collection. With only 59 watches to be made, the new Linde Werdelin Oktopus MoonLite White is the latest addition to this impressive series of timepieces.

This Oktopus MoonLite White looks way cooler than expected, with a new striking color, a redesigned dial, which is made up of 5 layers and a skeletonized top layer. The company has created an “aerospace material” for this collection, dubbed Alloy Linde Werdelin (or “ALW”), which brags about weighing half than a titanium version, while having twice the strength of steel.

The Linde Werdelin Oktopus MoonLite White is intended to absorb light and mimic the way an octopus changes colors, which sounds interesting, right?

Measuring 44 mm in diameter, this cool watch comes with a white rubber strap which and 300-meter worth of water resistance. Moreover, the company will also deliver it with its dive computer, called the “Reef”, which can keep track of a diver in real time, by using sensors, a 3-axis compass, an MPU platform, and an alarm system.

On a technical level, movement is provided by the in-house-developed moonphase complication, on top of a base movement that supplies 42-hours of power reserve. We should also mention that the blue “0” tells you the current moon phase and the orange numbers tell you past and future phases of the moon. The price-tag stands at a cool $18,500. Too much?
