AVI-8 AV-4047

AVI-8 is a watchmaker that’s pretty well-known for making pilots smile by delivering them incredible timepieces with aviation-inspired mechanical movements. But these cool watches are available to a large audience and enthusiasts from all over the world, and the company’s line-up now shows off a new addition meant to tease our senses, and possibly our pockets.

The AVI-8 AV-4047 watch is part of the brand’s Hawker Harrier II line and it was inspired by the Hawker Harrier custom built Pegasus engine developed by Rolls-Royce. The watch features a 45 mm case, crafted out of Marine Grade 316L Stainless steel, with a sapphire crystal and a see-through case back, while the Miyota movement inside has been re-imagined to comprise 3 individual discs that display the time by rotating across the dial.

The Avi-8 AV 4047 will be available in stainless steel as well as in a titanium carbide ionic plated version, with the dial showing off either silver white, gun, and black. The stainless steel version will set you back just £350, while titanium adds £20 pounds to the price-tag; talk about affordable luxury.

A quality buffalo hide genuine leather strap, featuring bi-color details on the sides, is more than enough to keep this watch close at hand, and if you want more reasons to purchase one, we’re sure it could be a brilliant gift for people of all ages who want to get a taste of what it feels like to soar through the skies and have a mission.

About Victor Baker

Victor has always been a big fan of cars, which is why he’s so proud to call himself a genuine petrolhead these days. His love actually stemmed from his father, who was an automotive engineer. Today, he loves to write down everything that comes to mind, car-related or not, and when he really gets down to it, he pretty much becomes one with his laptop.
